YFC's Direct Services Case Management is part of our coordinated multi-agency access to services for youth struggling with life issues who are out of their parent's control or who are engaged in anti-social behaviors. Through prevention and early intervention strategies, individualized assessments, case management support and coordinated access to services, youth (and their families) are offered positive alternatives for sustainable change and growth. There is no coast for our services. When a youth/family choose to work with us, an individual assessment is completed to determine problematic issues and help connect them to appropriate local services in their community that will serve them best. Our experienced case managers provide support and follow up with the youth/family over a one to four month period (dependent on case level) to ensure the greatest opportunity for success.
Our top priority is keeping every child safe and happy.
Referrals can come from anyone including families, friends, neighbors, or other organizations to help with a youth in conflict or support a teen struggling with life issues. Youth are also welcome to self-refer for services and support.
Schools may refer students who have been suspended, expelled, or are exhibiting truant behavior. We also work with other students showing at-risk and behavioral issues within the school.
Officers may bring a youth to YFC because they have committed a crime or have run away from home. YFC will work to connect the youth with their parents while officers return to their other duties. YFC's drop off services save countless officer hours each year!
